Children's Centre

Cherry Lane Children's Centre provides coordinated services and support for children up to five and their families, and brings together professionals involved in looking after the needs of young children.

We aim to provide positive ways of learning, healthy lifestyles and the early identification of any problems which may adversely affect a child later on.

Every parent naturally wants the best for their child and at Cherry Lane we are determined to help and support parents and carers in ensuring their children get the best possible start in life.

What happens in those early years can determine the quality of the rest of their life.

The services include:

• Early education and social skills, with support from a qualified teacher. We will be running an extensive range of programs for children and families to attend such as Stay & Play, Sports Activities and a Toy Library.
• Support for parents - including advice on parenting, childcare options and specialist services.
• Healthy support, ranging from Health Visitor support to Community Health check ups.
• Helping parents into work with Adult Education classes and links to Jobcentre Plus.

We see our Centre as an excellent learning space for the whole neighbourhood, especially the children. We hope to provide the courses, facilities, activities and advice that will raise expectations, self esteem and family confidence. We hope that you and your family make use of our welcoming Centre.
